Victoria Police call for action on CFMEU

After Victoria Police’s damning assessment of criminal activity in the CFMEU and the building industry, as reported in today’s Herald Sun, the Andrews government can’t just continue to pretend there isn’t a problem.

Premier Andrews needs to legislate to get criminals out of debt collecting, and he needs to support national laws to bring back the building regulator, outlaw corrupting benefits and disqualify union officials who defy the law.

He must also cut all ties between the Labor Party and the CFMEU. The Premier of our state should not be continuing to take the CFMEU’s money and support after this Victoria Police exposure of their criminal activity and bikie gang links.
