This week in State Parliament – 20 March 2015
This week in State Parliament, Liberal and Nationals MPs continued to stand up against the Andrews Government and seek better outcomes for the community.
We opposed Labor’s repeal of move-on laws, which will strip police of the power to act on the spot against blockades and other unlawful conduct by militant unions or extremist protesters.
We also exposed the links between Labor’s Sports Minister and cage fighting promoters, highlighted Labor’s lack of commitment to Avalon airport and showed the threat posed to the CFA by the demands of the firefighters union for unaffordable pay and conditions and unacceptable powers of control and veto over CFA operations and volunteers.
