Victorians pay the price for Labor’s UFU support
Extraordinary allegations in this morning’s Herald-Sun and The Age of attempted political interference by Labor government staff in proceedings against a firefighter over pornography charges, at the instigation of the United Firefighters Union (UFU).
What makes it even worse is that the union claims it had a deal with Labor for the government to intervene in these proceedings, and is now complaining Labor has reneged on the deal.
This is the latest is a series of demands that the firefighters union has reportedly made on Daniel Andrews and his government in return for the UFU’s support in last year’s state election.
Victorians are now paying the price for that support.
