The Attorney-General Robert Clark today announced the appointment of Megan Boston to the Board of the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission.
Mr Clark said Ms Boston brought a wealth of experience to the position, as a non-executive director with a range of organisations including the Adult Multicultural and Education Service.
Ms Boston has also served on the Commission’s Audit and Risk Committee since 2010, including more recently as Chairperson.
“Ms Boston has demonstrated a strong commitment to serving public and community organisations, helping to build and monitor risk, finance and performance systems,” Mr Clark said.
“Her skills and experience make Ms Boston well placed to make a valuable contribution to the Commission’s board.”
In 2010, the Women on Boards Association awarded Ms Boston a position in the 2011 Next Generation of Female Corporate Leaders program.
Ms Boston obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree at Griffith University and is a qualified accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia.
Ms Boston has worked for a range of leading organisations including PricewaterhouseCoopers, ANZ Bank, Sandhurst Trustees and the Environmental Protection Authority.
“I look forward to Ms Boston helping the Commission to continue its valuable role in protecting rights and promoting equal opportunity in our state,” Mr Clark said.
