Grant to Clota Cottage to boost access to learning opportunities
Clota Cottage Neighbourhood House in Box Hill has received a $3000 Training Delivery Support Grant, Member for Box Hill Robert Clark announced today.
Clota Cottage will use the money to purchase computer equipment, including iPads, to help in providing training programs to vulnerable learners who may face barriers to participation in skills training.
“This grant will help Clota Cottage Neighbourhood House build on the great work it is already doing in the community,” Mr Clark said.
“The Victorian Coalition Government believes it is vital that those with limited access to learning opportunities – including early school leavers, the unemployed, the low-skilled workers and those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds (CALD) – have the opportunity to access better education.
“The Training Delivery Support Grants are in addition to the Coalition Government’s commitment to spend almost $5 billion on vocational education and training over the next four years.
“This funding reflects the vital role skills-based training plays in building a better Victoria.”
