Greek Orthodox Community opens new Centre in Box Hill

Congratulations to the Greek Orthodox Community of Box Hill and Districts on the official opening of the magnificent new Box Hill Cultural and Community Centre in Carrington Road this afternoon.

And thank you to Matthew Guy for your support for the centre’s funding when Minister for Multicultural Affairs in the Napthine Government.

The centre will be an asset for the whole community, as the Greek Orthodox Community plans to make it available for use by other community bodies as well.

This centre is the result of vision, dedication and hard work by committee members, friends and supporters, together with committed professionals including the project manager, architect and builder.

The centre was supported by a $600,000 grant under the previous Coalition government, with the remainder being raised by the hard work of the local church community.
