Weakened juvenile bail laws commence today
From today, weaker bail laws mean juveniles can no longer be punished if they breach a condition of their bail.
This change by the Andrews government could hardly have come at a worse time. Just as stronger action is needed to tackle juvenile crime gangs, these weakened laws tell offenders they can treat the law with contempt and get away with it.
