Brighton恐怖悲剧后的省思 – 法律必需改革

Nick Kai Hao 遭到可怕的恐怖份子遇害的消息再次表明，对于危险的罪犯，维州需要更长的刑期，也需要更严格的假释法律来保障人民安全。

Nick 是一位无辜的受害者，他把澳洲当成自己的家，努力工作照顾父母和妻子。 而如今他们骤失家庭支柱，陷入困境。

翻开杀害 Nick 凶手的犯罪纪录，简直罄竹难书。 这等危险人物，应该监禁于牢狱之内，而非自由行走于大街之上，更不能允许其有机会犯下此等祸害邻里的恶行。

许多疑问随着事件发生，有如雨后春笋般冒出。 最大的疑问莫过于该案凶手当初为何可假释，尤其此人在狱中时亦犯下种种恶行。

Brighton terrorist tragedy – our laws must be stronger

The terrible terrorist murder of Nick Kai Hao shows once more that Victoria needs longer jail terms and stronger parole laws to keep people safe.

Nick was an innocent victim who made his home in Australia and worked hard to look after his parents, his wife and his young child.  They are now left without anyone to support them.

His killer had a long record of many crimes, and should have been in jail instead of out on the streets and able to commit this crime.

There are even questions about whether he was eligible for parole at the time he was released, because of further crimes he had committed while in jail.

Our deepest sympathies should go to Nick’s wife, parents, and family.
