专家证实，墨尔本需要东西环线道路

上週澳洲最权威也最高的基础设施机构，”澳大利亚基础建设” 公布了一项报告，报告中证实，澳洲对于东西环线道路 (East West Link) 的需求在澳洲所有基础建设中仍居于最应优先建设的项目之一。

专家警告说，如欲缓解或避免交通瘫痪，则连接 Eastern 高速和 Tullamarine 高速的快速道路将是当务之急，更是迫切之需。对于每天堵在 Eastern 高速道路或 Alexandra parade 上的通勤者而言，他们皆能明确体会日益恶化的交通拥堵已成为不可不面对的事实。

Experts confirm Melbourne needs East West Link

Last week Australia’s highest infrastructure body, Infrastructure Australia, issued a report that confirms that the East West Link remains one of Australia’s highest infrastructure priorities.

The experts warn that a link between the Eastern Freeway and the Tullamarine Freeway is needed soon to avoid crippling congestion.

Motorist who are stuck in traffic each day on the Eastern Freeway or Alexandra Parade know how bad the congestion has already become.

This shows once again how foolish it was for the Andrews Labor Government to pay $1.1 billion to NOT build the East West Link, when the nation’s leading transport experts report on how urgent and important it is.
