自由党能更有效协助受害者

当可怕的犯罪发生时，受害者与证人因创伤而急需有效并迅速的协助。

目前恐怖攻击、家庭入侵或暴力犯罪的受害者皆须经过漫长的等待方能获得谘询、建议又或是其他的帮助。 维州自由党领袖 Matthew Guy 承诺，如明年州议会大选中获胜，将会推出 “高效协助服务” (Rapid Response Service)。

当有不幸事件发生后，分秒必争， 这样一个全天24 小时、高效、迅速反应的团队，包括谘询师、多元宗教服务专家、心理学家等受过专业培训的人员将可有效及时的给予受害者和证人协助与支持。

虽然最有效应对犯罪的方式是釜底抽薪，有力且警力充足的警察部队、适度严格的法律来吓阻犯罪，防范犯罪于未然。 但在犯罪总难避免的今天，迅速又及时的给予帮助的亡羊补牢也不失为多管齐下之道。

 Liberals will provide rapid help for crime victims

When a terrible crime occurs, victims and witnesses need help and support quickly as they struggle to cope with the trauma they have suffered.

At the moment, victims and witnesses of crime such as terrorism, home invasions or other violence often have a long wait before they can obtain counselling, advice and other support.

Victorian Liberal leader, Matthew Guy, has committed to introduce a new Rapid Response Service if the Liberal Nationals Coalition is elected at next year’s state election

This will provide a mobile, 24/7 rapid response to be on the scene soon after a traumatic event to support victims and witnesses.  It will include counsellors, multi-faith chaplains, psychologist and other trained professionals.

The most important way to deal with crime is to have strong penalties and a strong police force to prevent crime occurring in the first place.  However, when crime does occur, this new service will provide rapid help and support.
