换汤不换药的分裂 CFA，消防问题依旧在

Andrew 政府上周宣布将分裂 CFA (郊区消防局) ，让 CFA 只剩下消防志工。

CFA郊区消防局的所有领薪消防人员将和 MFB (墨尔本消防局) 的领薪人员一起迁移到新部门。

这次的分裂重组原意是为了解决 CFA 内部长期的抗争，该抗争起因为工会官员强行介入，并造成消防志工权益受损所引发。

然则分裂政策乃换汤不换药，CFA表面改包装，但问题依旧存在。分裂后的制度，工会官员依然可强行介入 CFA，因表面虽变成两个部门，但调动和工作依旧是在一起。

除此外，工会也因新部门的整合，所有领薪消防人员都转移至同一部门，工会也将掌握更大也更绝对的权力。权力分散与监督对全民有益，当工会官员掌握的权力更集中也更绝对，损及全民利益势将难以避免。

Splitting CFA doesn’t end threat to fire services

 

Last week, the Andrews government announced it would break up Victoria’s highly regarded country fire service, the CFA, leaving the CFA with only volunteer firefighters.

 

All of the CFA’s paid firefighters will be moved to a new organisation that will also include all the paid firefighters from Melbourne’s fire service, the MFB.

 

This split is to try to end the long dispute over firefighters union officials interfering in the work of CFA volunteers and making it harder for them to protect their communities.

 

However, the government’s plan won’t work.  Union officials will still be able to interfere in the work of volunteers, because under the plan paid union firefighters will still be working alongside volunteers, even though they are employed by a different firefighting service.

 

As well, union officials will be able to obtain greater control and veto powers over the entire new paid firefighting service.
