州长拒绝为当初不加税的承诺背书

州长 Daniel Andrews 上週拒绝为当初工党选举时，对人民承诺不加税也不增添新税种的承诺背书。 州的税种包括房产相关印花税、工资税、停车税、土地税、消防税、汽机车登记和过户费、责任保险费、土地开发税等多个税种。

如州长Daniel Andrews 因工党政府的浪费和财务管理不当，受迫加税或添加新的税种，则首当其冲的将是维州全体人民百姓。为政者，无信则不立；老子道德经云：以正治国，以奇用兵。 其中正之首为信，身为政治人物，岂能失信于民？ 没有了人民的信任，则必然政令难行。

Andrews 先生当初对选民的承诺，对许多百姓而言都非常重要，而现在这些百姓因工党政府在财务上的浪费和过去加税的不良纪录而深感疑惧。 在这样的情况下，州长 Daniel Andrews 先生更应该要坚守当初对人民的承诺，立信于民才是长远之计。

Premier refuses to rule out tax increases

Premier Daniel Andrews last week refused to confirm his election promise that a Labor government would not increase taxes or introduce any new taxes.

State taxes and charges include stamp duty on homes and other real estate, payroll tax, parking levies, land tax, the fire services levy, motor vehicle registration and transfer fees, insurance duty and growth areas charges.

Victorians could be hit with increases in any of these taxes – or with a completely new tax – if Mr Andrews breaks his election promise because of all the money his government has wasted.

Mr Andrews’ promise was important to many voters worried about Labor’s record of taxing and spending. He needs to keep his promise.
