Box Hill 欢乐庆中秋

上周六数以千计的人潮涌入 Box Hill ，在美味可口的美食、琳琅满目的摊位和多采多姿的娱乐表演中欢庆墨尔本中秋美食节。 墨尔本中华青年会更以杰出又生动的舞狮为整场活动拉开序幕。

我很高兴的和澳洲联邦 Chisholm 选区的 Julia Banks 议员、同为维州议员的同僚 Neil Angus 议员和 Graham Watt 议员、白马市议会的 Tina Liu 与 Blair Barker 议员及许多重量级嘉宾一起共襄盛举。

週六的庆祝活动，对于孩童来说是一个可以了解中秋传统的绝佳机会，其中自然也包括有关嫦娥奔月的传说及月饼历史的由来。

我在此衷心的祝贺并感谢墨尔本台湾商会、活动贊助商和所有热心的义工们，是大家共同的努力缔造出活动的美好，也是大家的努力才能让这美好的活动画下完美的句点。

Box Hill celebrates Moon Festival

Thousands of people came to Box Hill last Saturday to celebrate the Melbourne Chinese Moon Festival, with great food, stalls and entertainment.

The Chinese Youth Society of Melbourne provided a splendid lion dance at the opening ceremony.

I was pleased to take part together with Julia Banks MP, the Member for Chisholm in the Australian Parliament, my fellow local State MPs Neil Angus and Graham Watt, Whitehorse Elgar Ward councillors Tina Liu and Blair Barker, and other distinguished guests.

Saturday’s celebrations were a great opportunity for children to learn about the traditions of the mid-autumn moon festival, including the legend of Chang-Er and the history of moon cakes.

My congratulations to the Melbourne Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce, to the sponsors and to all the volunteers for making this event such an enjoyable occasion.
