以 6月为结算标准，过去 12 个月内，高薪公务员增加162 名。 与此同时，维州高薪公务员平均薪酬上涨 5.1%，来到 $213,705 澳币。

儘管州长 Daniel Andrews 上次选举时，承诺会减少高薪公务员人数，而非增加，但事实却很明显相反。

Huge increase in highly paid public servants

The number of highly paid senior public servants in Victoria has increased by almost one quarter in just one year.

An additional 162 executive level public servants were added to the public payroll in the 12 months to June last year. At the same time, the average pay of senior Victorian public servants increased by 5.1% in to $213,705.

This is despite the fact that Premier Daniel Andrews promised Victorians before the last state election that he would reduce senior public servant numbers, not increase them.

These extra highly paid public servants are costing taxpayers $34 million a year, at the same time as Mr Andrews has introduced 12 new taxes and dramatically increased existing taxes such as stamp duty and land tax.
