高价出售 Box Hill TAFE 公用地

Andrews 政府正准备将 Box Hill 技术学院 (Box Hill TAFE) 旗下公有土地，出售给开发商兴建更多的高楼建筑。

政府希望批准兴建一个 29 层高的大楼，其中 25 层是住宅公寓，位落于 Spring 大街上，该建筑将不会有任何主路的出入口，大楼也将被医院和技术学院 (TAFE) 所环绕。

然则，面对 Box Hill 和周边地区的人口激增，政府却并未就此增设学校、大众运输、养老院、社区健康等重要基础设施因应即将来临的需求与变化。

相比下，政府似乎对于出售公有土地筹集资金更有兴趣，而非长远规划，为居民的未来打造一个更优秀也更有吸引力的 Box Hill 中心生活圈。

Government selling Box Hill TAFE land for high rise towers

The Andrews government is moving to sell off public land owned by Box Hill TAFE for even more high-rise towers in central Box Hill.

The government wants to allow a 29 storey tower, including 25 storeys of residential apartments, on a site in Spring Street that has no main road frontage and is surrounded by hospital and TAFE developments.

Yet the government is doing nothing to provide Box Hill and surrounding suburbs with the schools, public transport, aged care, community health and other facilities needed for the huge population increase the government is creating.

The government seems more interested in raising money from selling this land than it is in creating a well-planned and attractive central Box Hill for current and future residents.
