自由党致力提升整体教育水平

自由党承诺，如在今年维州大选中胜出，自由党政府将致力提高维州整体的教育水平。

近年来，儘管维州投入经费在学校和教育，但维州教育水平却依然维持不变，甚至开始出现下滑迹象。对比其他国家，维州学童在阅读、写作及数学技能着实欠缺，维州正面临教育水平恶化，竞争力下滑的趋势。

自由党认为我们当前的教育杂而不精，教学虽多，但却反导致应被重点培训的领域有所疏漏欠缺。

在自有党政府的领导下，学校教学课程会更加精简，去芜存菁，教师可集中精力，传授重点知识，加深学童对特定领域所需技能的理解，改善当前杂而不精的情况，提高维州教育水平，也拉升维州教育在国际上的竞争力。

Liberals to improve education standards

The Victorian Liberals have committed to improve the standard of education in Victoria if they are elected this year.

Educational standards have declined or remained unchanged in Victoria in recent years, despite all the extra money being spent on schools. 

Too many children in Victoria are leaving school without having proper reading, writing and maths skills.  Victorian education is getting worse compared with other countries.

The Liberals believe our schools are trying to teach too many things, and this means that important areas are missing out.

Under a Liberal government, the school curriculum will be made less crowded, so teachers can focus on teaching students the important knowledge, understanding and skills that they need to learn.
