自由党联盟成立 “犯罪受害者参考小组”

长久以来，维州暴力犯罪份子似乎可享有各种权利，反观受害者的权利则是被忽略和遗忘。

我们需要更多的警察巡逻于街道之上，加重量刑、更严格的保释与假释条件来强化法制。

在此时，自由党联盟成立 “犯罪受害者参考小组”，在刑事司法体系中，优先维护受害者权利，以此与强化法制遥相呼应，起到相辅相成，异曲同工之妙。

参考小组成员包括犯罪的受害者、年轻的司法工作人员、前高阶警官、警用牧师和太平绅士。

如明年维州大选胜出，该小组将以如何更有效维护受害者及其家属的权利为核心，协助自由党联盟制定与完善政策。

Coalition establishes Victims of Crime Justice Reference Group

For too long in Victoria, victims of crime have been ignored and violent criminals seem to have all the rights.

We need more police on the streets, stronger sentences, stricter conditions for bail and tougher rules before prisoners can be released on parole.

As well, the Liberal-Nationals Coalition has established a Victims of Crime Reference Group, to ensure the rights of victims are given the priority they deserve in the criminal justice system.

Members of the group include victims of crime, former youth justice workers, a former senior police officer, a police chaplain, and a Justice of the Peace.

The group will advise the Coalition on policies to give better rights to victims of crime and their families, for the Coalition to implement if elected at next year’s State election.
