自由党承诺增加天然气供应

维州自由党领袖 Matthew Guy 上週宣布，如果明年胜选，维州自由党政府将重新允许常规天然气的勘探与生产。

这将增加维州天然气供应，也自然可提供较廉价的天然气给维州民众，舒缓当前居高不下的天然气价格，对于叫苦连天的维州家庭与企业而言，此举无疑将是及时雨，久旱逢甘霖。

目前政府对维州陆地天然气勘探和生产发佈禁令，如果自由党联盟政府执政，将不再禁止常规的天然气勘探和生产作业，但依然会禁止压裂与煤层天然气的生产与勘探。

根据自由党联盟的政策，农地业主将有权根据天然气所得，享有该土地部分的天然气权利金，同时，在该土地进行勘探和开採时，按照新法规，作业前必需经过农地业主同意。

Liberals to boost Victoria’s gas supplies

Last week Victorian Liberal leader, Matthew Guy, announced that a Victorian Liberal-Nationals Coalition government will allow conventional gas exploration and production to recommence in Victoria if elected next year.

This will boost Victoria’s gas supplies and provide cheaper gas to help ease the pressure on families and businesses now struggling to pay soaring gas bills.

At present, there is a moratorium preventing any exploration or production of gas from onshore in Victoria. A Coalition government will remove the moratorium for conventional gas exploration and production, while keeping the ban on fracking and coal seam gas.

Under the Coalition’s policy, farmers will be entitled to a share of the royalties from gas produced on their property, and farmers must consent before exploration or production occurs on their land.
