维州成为全澳犯罪之都

即使新州 (NSW) 比起維州而言有較多的人居住，但如今維州卻有更多武裝搶劫、偷車及非法入侵犯罪﹒

上週政府公佈的聯邦犯罪數據顯示，維州搶劫案對比去年同期增加 22%、車輛竊案增加 25%、 非法入侵增加 10%。 對比維州的犯罪增長，新州在這些犯罪則呈現下滑趨勢。

數據是最真實的語言之一，政府數據更進一步證實，維州犯罪浪潮和 Andrews 政府及許多維州法官對犯罪過度寬容的軟弱有著不可分割的責任與關係。

我們需要更強而有力的法律和刑罰來嚇阻犯罪，監禁高危險犯罪份子，避免他們為禍鄰里。 唯此方能保護居民安全，還給我們那消逝的美好，那和平安全的墨爾本。

Victoria becomes Australia’s crime capital

Victoria now has more armed robberies, vehicle thefts and illegal entries of property than NSW, even though NSW has a higher population.

Official Bureau of statistics figures published last week show robberies in Victoria increased by 22% last year, vehicle thefts by 25% and unlawful entries by 10%.  At the same time, the numbers of each of these crimes fell in NSW.

This is further evidence that Victoria’s crime wave is due to the soft approach to crime by the Andrews government and by many Victorian judges and magistrates.

We need stronger laws and sentences to deter crime and to protect the community by locking up dangerous criminals for a long time.
