Tenants shiver as government turns off heating

Thousands of tenants living in state government provided housing have been left shivering this winter because the government has turned off their heating.

The heaters in many of these homes are old and not properly serviced, and some heaters have become unsafe.

The government has therefore disabled every heater that could be unsafe, but has only provided tenants with small, inadequate, electric heaters to replace them.

What the state government has done is callous and uncaring. If you or anyone you know lives in public housing and has been left cold because their heater has been disabled, ask your local state MP to demand the government provides proper heating.
