乘客们在事发时无法得到确切信息， 许多转移至附近 Laburnum 火车站的乘客更因火车安排未因 Blackburn 车站关闭而调整，造成许多乘客因 Express 快车不停留 Laburnum 车站而错过火车。

维州政府砸下大钱升级 Blackburn 火车站周边设施，政府宣称这些升级可有效解决淹水问题。如今政府必需保证，从今往后 Blackburn　火车站再不会有淹水的问题。

Flooding shuts Blackburn station

Many travellers suffered last week because Blackburn Station, in my electorate, was closed due to flooding in a pedestrian underpass.

Travellers were not given proper information about what was happening, and many travellers who went to nearby Laburnum Station were left waiting because express trains were not diverted to stop at Laburnum instead of Blackburn.

The Victorian government is spending a lot of money on expensive changes at Blackburn station, and the government claimed those changes would fix the flooding problem. The government must now guarantee that there won’t be more flooding at Blackburn station in future.
