政府需处理消防局的霸凌问题

继上週更多有关证据被公诸于世后，众人方知消防局内部的职场霸凌与骚扰问题依旧没有改善。
报导更指出，当这些消防人员把有关骚扰和霸凌的证据递交到 “维州平等与人权委员会” 时，这些员工有受到不知名人士的跟踪和拍照

除此外，一份针对郊区消防局 (CFA) 数百名员工的调查显示，许多员工都有被霸凌、不舒服的暗示、性骚扰等经历，而消防局明知问题存在，却拒绝对此採取任何行动改变或应对。
时至今日．消防工会仍试图阻止有关揭露事实，将之公诸于众的报导。 政府此时此刻，需要做的是抛开工会的政治包袱，正视问题并果断採取行动制止职场霸凌。

Government must act on fire service bullying

More evidence became public last week of continuing bullying and harassment of staff in Victoria’s fire services.

There were reports that unknown people were watching for and taking photographs of fire fighting staff as they turned up to give evidence about harassment to the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission.

As well, a survey of hundreds of Country Fire Authority staff members has shown that many staff are being bullied, intimated and even sexually assaulted, but the CFA is refusing to do anything about it.

The firefighters union has continued to try to block the publication of any reports that would reveal the truth. It is time for the government to stand up to the union and act to end this bullying.
