据上周报导指出，澳洲有越来越多老年人遭受成年子女的虐待或欺负，以各种方式和父母索取金钱。

这类行为包括试图逼迫老人家搬去养老院，以便取得父母名下房产出售，甚至威胁老年人，如不借钱给子女或给钱的话，就不让他们与孙儿相见。

Growing financial abuse of elderly

 

It was reported last week that a growing number of older people in Australia are being abused by adult children who want their money.

 

This can include trying to force older people into retirement villages so their home can be sold, or threatening not to let them see their grandchildren unless they lend or give money to their children.

 

Sometimes older people are being persuaded to sell their homes and move to live with their children, and then they are neglected or not cared for properly.

 

Aging parents are entitled to be loved and cared for by their children, not be neglected or abused.
