墨尔本东区居委会Box Hill迎新年

周日下午，我参加墨尔本东区居委会 (MERA) 在 Box Hill 花园举办的中国新年庆祝活动，联邦Deakin 选区议员 Michael Sukkar 也一同出席。

MERA 去年成立，从此墨尔本东区居民，尤其是移民朋友，有了一个互助的平台，对于面临的问题可得到建议与帮助，更可透过居委会向议员们表达问题状况与内心的担忧。

Melbourne Eastern Residents Association celebrates in Box Hill Gardens

On Sunday afternoon, I joined the Melbourne Eastern Residents Association (MERA) for their Chinese New Year celebration in Box Hill Gardens.  The Federal Member for Deakin, Michael Sukkar, also attended.

MERA was formed last year so residents of Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, especially migrants, can advise and help each other about issues and problems they have, and raise issues and concerns with councils and MPs.

Sunday’s celebration was an opportunity for MERA members to meet each other face to face and to make new friends.
