Experts confirm Melbourne needs East West Link

A recent expert report has found that building East West Link is one of Victoria’s most important infrastructure needs.

The report by Infrastructure Australia – the expert body that advises the Commonwealth Government – found that not having East West Link is costing Victorians millions of dollars every year in lost time and traffic delays.

This latest report shows again how foolish and reckless it was for Premier Daniel Andrews to spend $1.3 billion of taxpayers’ money on cancelling the previous government’s contract to build East West Link.

Every motorist who has been stuck in traffic trying to drive between the Eastern Freeway and CityLink knows how important it is to build the East West Link to join those two roads. Now the experts have confirmed it.
