Fees cost adds insult to East West Link scrapping
Not only has Daniel Andrews cost Victorians hundreds of millions of dollars for nothing to scrap East West Link and leave motorists stuck in ever growing congestion.
It’s now been revealed he has spent nearly $600,000 of taxpayers’ money just on legal and consultants’ fees – fees to end a contract that he promised Victorians before the election “was not worth the paper it was written on”.
To see the report in today’s Age, go to Andrews government paid nearly $600,000 in fees to axe East West Link and for the ABC’s report, see East West Link: Victoria paid $600k in legal, consultant fees to dump controversial tunnel project.
