“Skyrail” to create eyesores across Melbourne

Today’s Herald Sun carries a powerful article on how Labor’s rushed Skyrail level crossing removals will create eyesores across Melbourne.

When Labor said before the 2014 election that they’d remove additional level crossings, they didn’t tell voters they were going to do so by putting rail lines on three storey high elevated tracks that will run for kilometres through built-up suburbs.

The community are entitled to expect level crossings to be removed properly as the previous Liberal-Nationals government did; not rushed through with an inferior “quick fix” that will blot the landscape for generations to come.
