维州能源价格一路飙升

根据最新的报告评估，电费和瓦斯费帐单持续上涨，今年维州家庭能源帐单平均上涨 Ａ$300澳币，许多家庭的帐单涨幅更远高于报告所评估的费用。

在 Andrews 州长宣佈把发电用煤的应徵税拉高 3 倍后，Hazelwood 发电厂随即也宣佈关闭。

Andrews 政府也要求所有用电户支付更高的能源价格，以此支持昂贵的再生能源项目，与此同时更禁止维州地面进行任何天然气的开採。

政府需要意识到能源价格飙涨对人民生活所带来的冲击，悬崖勒马，亡羊补牢，及时修正这些考虑不周的政策，将民生冲击降到最低。

Victorians’ energy bills continue to rise

Electricity and gas bills are continuing to rise rapidly.  A recent report estimates the average increase in Victorian families’ energy bills this year will be $300, with many families having to pay much more.

The increases follow the closure of Hazelwood Power Station after the Premier Andrews tripled taxes on the brown coal the power station needed to generate electricity.

As well, the Andrews government is requiring all electricity users to pay higher prices to pay for expensive renewable energy projects, and is continuing with a ban on any land-based extraction of gas in Victoria.

The government needs to realise how much Victorians are being hurt by rising energy prices.  It should reverse its harmful and poorly considered policies.
